Who is John Galt?

Who is John Galt ? This phrase borrowed from Ayn rand’s novel ‚Atlas Shrugged’ seems more apt in the present day India. Where the merit is considered secondary to caste politics.

For those who are unaware of the master piece ‘Atlas Shrugged’ , The Phrase 'Who is John Galt?' is initially a phrase of helplessness and despair. But in the later pages it is revealed that John Galt is actually the name of a character who has vowed to ‘Stop the Motor of the World’. He is a Engineer by profession and has created a path breaking innovation – A Motor. When the company owners decided to run the factory by the collectivist maxim, 'By each according to his ability, to each according to his need'. Meaning the intellectuals are to be squeezed to their maximum ablility but the fruits of their labour are to be enjoyed by the undeserving, just because they ‘NEED’ it. Galt ,promises to himself to stop the motor of the world. He begins by meeting the world's most successful businessmen, Like Dagny Taggart, Franciso D’Anconia, convincing them to follow in his footsteps;Because one day their businesses are sure to collapse, by following the governments collectivism maxim. While Galt actively organized the strike of "the men of the mind," many other characters just quit their jobs and effectively divorced themselves from a society that treated them as slaves. Sounds familiar? This is what the doctors are doing right now.

The Maxim of collectivism has been replaced by the so-called Social-Justice. Just like the word Collectivism was abused in Atlas Shrugged, so is the word Social Justice abused by thugs and power hungry politicians in the present day India. The Meritorious and the innovative are being forced to take a back seat, where the government is bent upon creating a nation of parasites. No I don’t mean that people belonging to SC /ST or OBC are fit for nothing. But this is what the government is projecting them to be. Given the basic infrastructure and proper training since elementary level, the so called SCs / STs and OBC are no less than any other students from any class. But the government seems to think otherwise. The government seems to treats the backward classes and mentally challenged on the same level.

The Human Resource Development ministry is hell bent upon creating an India of Mediocre, which is properly and systematically divided along casteist and religious lines. The government of India should strive towards making India a society where caste and religion have no say in deciding the opportunities available to a person.
The only deciding factor in competition should be merit. But the HRD ministry seems to think other wise.
The new Maxim according to Arjun Singh Aka James Taggart is ‘By each according to ability and to each according to size of vote bank’.
It was rather disgusting to see the images of the Human Resources (read the agitating doctors) being lathi charged and water canons used on them, in the name of Human Resource Development. Is this the way Human resources developed Mr Taggart.

Mr Thompson aka Mr.Man (dal) Mohan Singh seems to be very intellectually ignorant of the plight. But Mr Man(dal) Mohan Singh please ask once again to your colleagues ‘Can we get away with it?’
We all had a great respect for the economist Mr Man Mohan Singh. But now it seems Mr Thompson’s persona has taken over the economist.

Just think of the day when Atlas will shrug. When a Dagny Taggart, a Francisco d’Anconia , a Hank Rearden and other ‘ Men of Mind ‘ of India come together to Stop the Motor of India. Already the process has started, Doctors are on strike, Knowledge commission member resigned…….
